I took this photo in the Leuvenum forest in the municipality of Ermelo in the Veluwe. In the nights before I took this photo it froze so there was ice on this meadow along the Leuvenum stream. In winter, this former meadow usually does flood. You can see from the trees that it was at the end of autumn even though there was ice. If you look closely, you can even see a little bit of snow. This photo is an HDR photo of 3 photos with different exposures. As you can see, I was standing under a beech tree, a tree species that can be found more often in the Leuvenum forest.
