In this abstract interpretation of the Haller forest, I let the vertical lines of the beeches take centre stage. Moving the camera straight up with a slow shutter speed creates stretched trunks reminiscent of brushstrokes on canvas. A play of light, rhythm and silence - a forest seen through a different lens.
The technique used is called ICM - Intentional Camera Movement.
