An unusual abstract pattern in shades of gold with black.
The colours gold and black create a chic look but also create a nice contrast between light and dark.
Different patterns and shapes can be seen in this artwork. Your gaze goes from squares at the top left to triangles at the top right. It looks like the gold tones are painted on black because on the bottom half of this artwork, the shapes seem to fade or bleed out. Or are the gold shapes reflected in the surface of a liquid?
The gold still takes on tight shapes at the top, but at the bottom it fails to hold these shapes. This creates a whimsical and abstract pattern. A pattern that is intriguing and sets your imagination to work.
This work was created by mixing two photos of a crystal glass object. Finally, the final photograph was digitally distorted.
The refraction of light in crystal glass also makes it possible to see beautiful rainbow colours. When you take a close look at this artwork, rainbow colours can also be discovered between the golden shapes and black in various places!
