For subjects of abstract photography, everyday surroundings can be a huge source of inspiration. Such is the case with this work, which has its origins in the kitchen.
The glass lid on the pan of tomato soup was filled with drops of condensation when the soup was being prepared. Immediately on seeing this scene, I got the idea to do something with this in abstract form. For the photo, I used the Canon 100 mm macro.
The image was sharply cropped and edited in Adobe Lightroom Classic. The colours were changed with masks. Sharpening was also applied, after which I found this image to be a nice result.
The colours and many shapes make this picture suitable for all kinds of spaces, with the image also inviting you to keep looking at it and keep looking for new elements. I always get happy when I see the work because of the variation in colour. Of course, this is very personal.
