Breite Kluft is one of the breathtaking vantage points on the Schrammsteine I encountered during my multi-day hike along the Malerweg trail in Saxon Switzerland.
This image was taken from the sandstone platform when a changing spectacle of light and shadow moved across the landscape with Zirkelstein and Kaiserkrone as landmarks in the distance. The heavy clouds with spots of light provided the necessary contrasts.
A few days later, it would turn out that between the table mountains was the hiking trail I would follow to continue my trek along the Malerweg.
