In the Jordaan on the Egelantiersgracht lies cafe 't Smalle. For years a great place to 'recharge your batteries on the terrace in summer.
The Egelantiersgracht is one of the canals in the Jordaan that has not been filled in.
They were originally the ditches in the area outside Amsterdam's old city wall, which later became these little canals.
They all lead to Prinsengracht, near the old Wester.
Still a beautiful, nostalgic sight.
