While on holiday in Burgundy, France, when I visited one of the nearby churches, my attention was caught by a colourful spectacle. The bright sunlight fell through the stained glass windows and conjured a beautiful colourful pattern on the old stone floor. What a beautiful sight! Especially since the rest of the area was very dark and this was the only bit of light in that spot. I quickly snapped a photo before this magical moment was over.
Once back home, I was curious to see if the photo still had such an impact on me. And yes it did! I was still very happy with the photo taken. It is an intriguing image of a special moment. You can see it as an abstract image, but if you look longer ( or read my explanation) you will see what it really is. A photo that invites you to look a little longer.
A few years ago I started to delve into photography a bit more and by now it can be called a passion.I photograph everything that strikes me in a positive way. Landscapes, animals and occasionally architecture or portraits.... But my preference is still nature photos, especially macro.. Read more…
