Photographing nature and everything in it is super fun to do. Nature can be far from home, but close to home and even indoors you can also find beautiful and photogenic natural elements.
I often find my inspiration in different shapes, different colours, different textures and different patterns. I then find the challenge in mixing several of these elements.
In this artwork, two elements of nature have been mixed using multiple exposures: the leaves of a bamboo plant (Bambusoideae) and the flower of a gerbera (Gerbera).
This plant and the flower possess distinct differences from each other, making mixing them an artistic work of art. The petals of the gerbera are neatly arranged around the heart of the flower, forming an ordered circle of pink leaves.
Mixing this green chaos and the pink neatness makes this piece of art a particularly natural whole in which there are all kinds of things to discover.
The old vintage pastel colours complete the artwork and, despite the chaos, create a calm and warm look.
I see making art as a creative process.
The starting point of this process for me is always a photo or a painting of my own. Every work of art on this site is therefore based on a self-made photo or painting.
I find my sources of inspiration in everything around me...
