Behind Paleis het Loo is the palace park, a large area with beautiful hiking trails., where I love to spend many a day. The palace itself has not been inhabited by the royal family since 1975 and has been open to the public as a museum since 1984. It recently reopened after a renovation and definitely a must-see. In the palace park behind the palace gardens you pass through this beautiful avenue of trees and last year with autumn I just had to take a picture of this picture full of autumn colors. It was still a little bit hazy which gave that little bit extra to the picture. If you are standing there alone in silence, you can imagine how it must have been years ago when the royal family still lived here. Would they have enjoyed a morning walk through a beautiful autumn landscape as much as I do?
