Being a November child, I enjoy this season, autumn, immensely. All those colours, the wind swirling around you, with the mostly coloured leaves, it scatters and it is alive, but also not,
In spring, nature awakens and in autumn, nature signals its inevitable farewell. The other two seasons are caricatures. In summer you don't have beautiful nature and winter here is a poor copy of autumn.
Just as we simple humans get a groove added to the face or soul, so nature indicates: Here the light is slowly going out. Autumn. The fresh green leaves turn orange and brown, eventually ending up on the ground and decaying.
The melancholy that autumn sometimes brings is a burden for many (blue monday) but what is wrong with feeling down? Why should anyone always be cheerful?
Dark emotions have just as much right to exist, as the light, fleeting ones.
It is better to welcome and embrace them, rather than flee from them.
Autumn is beautiful. And so is this very small owl :-)
