This work is made from watercolour using the wet-on-wet technique. Adding pigment to the water creates an abstract image, which, as the maker, you can but not fully influence. The watercolour colours find their own way across the paper, and the way the colours blend and merge harmoniously suggests an idea of balance and stability. The paint, gently and subtly applied, creates an atmosphere of serenity and calm, as if the artwork reflects the stillness of nature. The colours, green and blue, were chosen for their ability to reference nature while creating a sense of calm and harmony.
