About ‘Blue Scarab’ by Nelleke Bruno

In ancient times, this blue scarab was a symbol of life, death and rebirth. The background is in yellow and beige colour and the body of the scarab is in blue and white. The legs are in the colour green. It carries in its front legs a hieroglyph on which the symbols represent the meaning of transformation. We live in a world which is going through transformation right now, so the symbol of the scarab is very relevant again.
I commissioned this painting and it now hangs in a house in France.
This painting looks very nice in a room with earth tones.
