The Hallerbos is a forest with an area of 552 ha southeast of Halle (511 ha on Hals territory). The forest is largely owned by the Flemish Region and a small part of the Walloon Region as well as private property. The Hallerbos forms a quiet recreational area, which is greatly appreciated by the population of the surrounding highly urbanised areas. It is very accessible thanks to its many paths, and three hiking trails have been mapped out for an introduction. The forest is part of the Flemish Ecological Network and is protected as a Natura 2000 area 'Hallerbos and nearby forest complexes with source areas and heathens'.
The subjects I look for are nature, mostly landscapes, but also animals and plants can come in front of the lens. Especially dramatic images appeal to me. Sometimes I also look for more graphic and abstract images. For me it's all about just making the images that make.. Read more…
