Figurative watercolour painting of two women bound in coils. They show the wraps as clothing, they are bound but also free to show themselves this way. It depicts the women who want to show who they are but cannot or are not allowed to.

I have time to draw and paint more after years of volunteer work for the St. Care Foundation The Gambia. Inspiration I got in the Gambia where I also lived. The colors, the population and life is a great source of inspiration. But also the quieter life now is inspiring to use softer colours and to work more with pastel chalk. But still it's nice to work in all kinds of colours and to try out new techniques and new materials.
