Quriyat is located a few kilometers south of Muscat, the capital of Oman. A small fishing town along the coast of Oman. An attraction in this town is the Quriyat fortress, which was built about 200 years ago. The fortress is centrally located in the city and impresses from the outside with its long smooth walls and the battlements that stand on top of them as a beautiful, simple decoration. All walls are made of clay and smoothed. The walkways and stairs are made from the same material. A robust structure with a tower and a large courtyard. You will encounter these lanterns in various places in the corridors and rooms. They provide enough light to see where you are and what is in a room. And they match the atmosphere of the fort; strong on the outside and hidden within. The lanterns gave the place a friendly atmosphere with their warm colored glow, which appealed to me. They look as if they have been there for 200 years, as silent guardians of the interior space.
