About the artwork

What makes this image resonate isn’t just the light—it’s how the light meets the hair of the person in the foreground. You can almost feel the warmth catching in those strands, backlit in a way that turns the ordinary into something sacred. The beam coming through the high window is strong and defined, cutting cleanly through the space and spotlighting invisible particles in the air. It’s one of those natural effects that’s impossible to plan for but unforgettable when it happens.

Most of the frame is in shadow, which gives the lit areas more power. You can sense the scale of the church in the soaring arches and towering columns, but the mood here is intimate. It feels like a private moment, even though it clearly takes place in a shared, public space.

I remember holding my breath just before taking this shot. Something about the way the light hit and the person leaned slightly into it made me feel like I was seeing something quietly meaningful. Moments like this keep me chasing light.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
