About ‘Col d'Izoard (2360 m) in the French Alps’ by Rini Kools

There are ominous and barren scree slopes with protruding peaks of weathered rock on the higher south side. This area, known as the Casse Déserte, has regularly provided a dramatic backdrop for key moments in the Tour de France and is often seen in iconic black-and-white photographs from the 1950s of the race. Some of the most memorable events of the Tour de France have taken place on the Col d'Izoard, and in particular the exploits of Fausto Coppi and Louison Bobet come to mind. Near the summit there is a memorial stone to Coppi and Bobet.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
