About the artwork

In an abandoned room, the ceiling panels hang from the ceiling as if in a chaotic dance, held in place only by thin wires and broken structures. The once orderly pattern of the panels has been transformed into a confused, threatening installation that impressively reflects the state of decay and destruction. The panels, some with red patterns, others plain and white, hover like silent witnesses to unexpected decay. The sight suggests that life once pulsated here, but now all that remains is a floating labyrinth of rubble.

The gloomy lighting and the bizarrely hanging ceiling panels lend the room an eerie atmosphere. The gaze is captured by the destruction and the eye searches for clues in this disintegrated order. This room tells the story of abandonment and transience and is a reminder of how quickly civilisation can disintegrate into chaotic fragments when people are no longer present.
