Colombian army helicopter Mil Mi-17V5.
Registration: EJC 3380.
The Mi-17 was developed from the standard Mi-8 fuselage, but with the larger TV3-117MT engines, rotors and transmission developed for the Mi-14, along with some modifications to the fuselage for heavier loads.
The designation "Mi-17" is intended for export, the Russian army calls it "Mi-8MT". The Mi-17 can be recognised by the tail rotor sitting on the port side instead of the starboard side and dust caps in front of the engine intakes. The engine intakes are further aft than on the Mi-8, so they do not protrude as far over the cockpit.
