About ‘Cuban landscape in Vinales’ by Margot van den Berg

In the Cuban province of Vinales (or Viñales) lies the Vinales Valley. A flat and dry landscape. Between the fields are mogotes. Large, detached limestone formations that dominate the landscape. The dryness and heat are palpable in the photograph.

The people who live and work in this valley live largely from tobacco. The green fields full of tobacco plants and the brown barns where the leaves dry in the wind can be seen everywhere as spots in nature.

The footpaths that run right through the fields tell of the people walking on foot to neighbors and the nearest village.

A rugged landscape where nature often wins out over the work in the fields, in a country where the government dictates how much harvest you have to deliver this year.

The space in the valley, the roughness of the landscape in which man is present, that's what I wanted to show in this photo. The world is bigger than man.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
