On the narrow hiking trail in the Alps near Berchtesgaden, a curious herd of cows walks right up to the hikers. They all look intently at them, noses stretched forward and ears pricked. There is pushing and shoving - every cow wants to be the first to stand in the centre and take a close look at the humans.
Sometimes one cow almost becomes the leader, charging ahead and pulling the others behind her.
The whole cow march looks like a fun, chaotic parade - slow, but with lots of energy and a good dose of curiosity. For the walkers, the path becomes a little animal show, where you almost feel as if you are the leading actor in an unusual cow concert.
