The sun is very low, the last quarter of an hour has arrived. It is mid-summer and we are on Cape Sounion in Greece. The sun is still shining perfectly along the ancient columns. They are rough and weathered, of ancient marble. The cape and temple face west, towards the sea. The temple was dedicated to the mythological Greek god Poseidon, ruler of the sea. Much of the temple has disappeared, but what stands is a mighty sight. And the light and colours make you feel the warmth of summer.
