Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.
The artwork appears at its true size, so you cannot scale it in AR. Want a different size? Close AR and pick the size on the product page.
Still nothing? Open this page in Chrome or Safari. AR does not work in the browser of apps such as Instagram or Facebook.

About ‘Desert Hunger’ by Geert Van Baelen

In this surrealist artwork, an endless desert transforms into a remarkable landscape in which dozens of metal forks rise from the sand. Some forks are small and almost disappear into the distance, whilst a few gigantic ones dominate the scene. The largest fork stands centrally in the foreground and appears to grow out of the earth like a strange monument. The result is an intriguing image that balances between dream, reality and science fiction.
The warm orange and golden hues of the desert sand contrast sharply with the deep blue sky. In the distance, jagged rock formations and a dramatic sunset add extra depth. Moreover, a curious, almost otherworldly sphere hovers above the landscape, further enhancing the surreal quality.
The combination of surreal imagery, dramatic lighting, a vast desert and metallic objects makes this work ideal for lovers of surrealist art, digital art, imaginative landscapes and unusual photography. The image evokes associations with a deserted alien world, a dream or a mysterious future in which ordinary objects have taken on an unexpected role.
