Lake Jökulsárlón is close to the Atlantic Ocean and separated from it by a very narrow strip of land. This strip of land is intersected by a river, which drains the meltwater. The river carries blocks of ice to the famous black beach: Diamond Beach!
I was lucky: rough sea and many ice blocks on the black beach. I had to watch out for the approaching waves and run away in time to save my camera gear! And of course with wet feet ...
