This is a forest path with a fairy-tale look, thanks to the multiple exposure. This gives it a dreamy, hazy appearance, making it feel even more like a fairy tale. The colourful earthy and natural tones of autumn make it a peaceful image to look at.

This beech avenue is located in a forest in Drenthe. I specifically sought out this location, with its avenue and beech trees, at this time of year because beech trees turn such beautiful colours in autumn. The colouring of the leaves provides a pleasant contrast and stands out beautifully against the dark brown tree trunks.

The small amount of fresh green among the colouring leaves and the lighting of the trees further down the forest path give this photo a positive atmosphere.

Because the image looks into the distance along the avenue, it gives the image a lot of depth. This also translates into more depth in the space where this work hangs. Optically, you can use this to lengthen a room or make a corridor appear longer. The razor-sharp image also has many details to look at, so you never tire of it, even in larger formats (or even as wallpaper).

In my mind, I can walk into the forest again along this forest path. It gives a wonderfully relaxed feeling, with a serene atmosphere that invites you to dream away. In your mind, you can walk into the forest and relax for a moment with the natural tranquillity it radiates.

This photograph was taken in the Netherlands, in Drenthe between Hoogeveen and Meppel, in the vicinity of the Echtenerveld, the Bovenveen and Boswachterij Ruinen.
