A photo of the dunes of the North Sea, taken from the west side of Texel.
It is a day of very changeable weather, with strong winds. A very dark dramatic cloud sky is visible. You can see that there is a raindrop on the top right of the lens. I left this as is.
In the centre of the image, there is a lighter spot in the clouds. The sand is light in colour, there the sun shines on the sand, making the sky look even darker and more threatening. You can also see some small shells lying around.
You can see a wide line of dunes and much of the sandy beach, but the camera's point of view is quite low so more of the sky is visible in proportion.
It was really changeable weather that day as we know it well in the Netherlands. A downpour followed by sunshine and everything in between. making for very beautiful cloudy skies.
In this image, the elements are purely pictured.
