The Breithorn is a heavily glaciated mountain ridge consisting of several peaks. It is considered one of the easiest four-thousand-metre peaks in the Alps. Nevertheless, you should definitely not do without an experienced mountain guide at your side when climbing it. Alpine dangers such as crevasses should not be underestimated. Guided tours start on the Klein Matterhorn. From the top station of the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise - the highest in Europe at 3,883 metres - you start the three-hour hike to the Breithorn. The reward awaits at the summit: a view of another 38 four-thousand-metre peaks in the Italian, Swiss and French Alps.
