Graffiti art is very transient and highly subject to the elements of nature.
The temporary nature interests me very much.
The colours fade and disappear in the texture of the rough concrete surface.
I record that trail of disappearance.
In imaging, I go to the essence and leave all the superfluous out of the frame.
The result is often, as in this work, an abstract and minimalist image.
It is important to me that my photographic work is decorative and, for example, lifts an interior aesthetic to a higher level. But as an artist, I feel the need to start from a concept. The concept provides a framework in which the photo project can develop.
