Four in a row, Blue Angels in action!
The Blue Angels (also known as Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron) is a flight demonstration team of the United States Navy. The team was founded at the end of World War II, making it 'the world's first official flight demonstration team. At that time, the team started with three aircraft, then four, and for many years the team has consisted of six aircraft.
This photo was taken during the Fort Worth Alliance Airshow at Fort Worth Alliance Airport on 19 October 2019. Normally, this manoeuvre is performed with 5 aircraft. However, on this day, 1 of the 6 Boeing F/A-18 Hornet fighter aircraft suffered a breakdown and therefore had to leave the flight demonstration early. Fortunately, the pilot was able to ground the aircraft again without further problems.
