Fragments of Perception by Artedia

A female figure with closed eyes floats in a turbulent blue-grey space. Her body opens up and shatters into pieces, as if it were glass or leather being torn apart. Orange, red and yellow flames burst from the cracks and pulsate like raw energy. Black lines like cracks or exposed nerves surround the body and pierce it. In the centre of the chest, a heart of golden white light glows, as the only source of light in the midst of this emotional explosion.
, what I see in the work
, a woman in a state of profound transformation or collapse, her eyes closed in quiet acceptance. The skin is torn like a mask falling away, and from within, a world of living flame explodes – not a destructive fire, but a fire of change and enlightenment. Black cracks surround her like dead tree branches or exposed nerves, while warm colours (orange, red, yellow) contrast with the cold background (blue and grey). The body feels as if it is a planet exploding to be reborn, or a mind cracking open to reshape its perception.
Source of inspiration
This work is inspired by moments of psychological collapse and awakening at the same time – those moments when everything you thought you knew is shattered. "أنا"، لكن بدلا من الفراغ، تخرج طاقة الحياة الخام والقوية. متأثرا بالفكرة الفلسفية التي تقول إن "الكسر هو بداية" (الوجودية)، وبالفن التعبيري الذي يجعل الصراع الداخلي مرئيا كأنه انفجار، وبرمز "النار المقدسة" As a sign of spiritual transformation through pain.
The atmosphere I want to create
intense, emotional, and at the same time disturbing and intriguing. An atmosphere of beautiful tension – as if something big is about to explode or be born. Cold on the outside, hot and pulsating on the inside. A sense of aesthetic danger: you are looking at something sacred and terrifying at the same time – the moment when illusions are shattered and the true inner fire is revealed.
The message/feeling I want to convey
True awareness does not come from external peace, but often from cracks and fractures. What we call "الانهيار" can actually be liberation. The cracks are not the end, but the beginning of a deeper vision. The fire that comes out of the cracks is not for destruction, but for illumination – a reminder that our deepest strength lies in the places where we hide or fear to reveal ourselves.
