In the north-east of Italy, near the border with Slovenia and Austria, you will find the Fusine Lakes. These are surrounded by green forests and high mountains and are a popular destination in the summer months.
In this image, you can see the second lake, Laghi Fusine Inferiore. This one is further away from the road and therefore a bit quieter, than the more accessible Laghi di Fusine. The water in this lake is crystal clear and turquoise blue.
In the foreground you can see rocks, which cover the shore on this side of the lake; by using a polarisation filter, the rocks at the bottom are also clearly visible.
In the centre, you can see the blue waters of Laghi di Fusine Inferiore, which are enhanced on a sunny day!!! The background consists of a forest of pine trees, which are a beautiful fresh green in summer. The mountains in the background, are the Kotova Spica and the Mangart. These form the border between Slovenia and Italy.
All in all, a nice picture of the popular Fusine lakes!!!
