About the artwork
This warmly coloured artwork shows an unusual pattern of straight and round lines. It is a geometric figure, with the bottom and top of the artwork appearing to be mirrored. However, this is not the case; the bottom and top show slight differences from each other.
The unusual pattern fascinates and enchants. It puts your imagination to work. You wonder what you are looking at. Is it a random pattern or do you recognise something in it? The beauty of abstraction is that you get to fill in what your imagination tells you and what you see in it.
This particular artwork, done in warm saturated colours, has a number of photos as its base.
The straight lines are based on a photo taken of a part of any room in the house. Several photos of this were mixed together. The round shapes are based on a photo taken of a kitchen utensil.
These photos were merged and digitally deformed, beautifully merging traditional techniques with modern technologies.
The warm shades of orange, red and green contrast nicely with the slightly less warm blue. All the colours together are an extra nice addition to this special geometric pattern.
The end result is guaranteed to be an eye-catcher in your room!
