I took this photo in San Francisco, California. For work, I was allowed to go this way and in advance I had marked a number of locations to photograph including this one near the Golden Gate Bridge.
It is a well-known location for photographers because here you can nicely "frame" the Golden Gate Bridge among the trees. To get this right, you first have to position it properly to get the bridge symmetrical. Once you have done that, it is important to choose the right lens. By using a zoom lens here, the image is pulled together and the Golden Gate Bridge is pulled forward between the 2 trees, so to speak. After everything was set properly on my camera, the shooting could begin.
But just pressing the button doesn't finish the photo. That only happens at home in post-processing. At home, I process 99% of my photos because I have access to a large screen, a fast desktop and a Wacom drawing tablet to quietly edit my photos with various software to make them suitable for your wall.
