In 2007, I made a report on organic cotton production in Maharashtra (India), part of which was published in the Dutch and French Happinez and a large article in Libelle Balance magazine.
I took this photo of a roll of cotton in an organic cotton factory where everything was white and grey and this pink ribbon caught my attention. With my photography, I highlight the beauty of everyday life, the wonders of nature, strength and positivity. I hope to touch something in people by creating awareness about what is often considered unimportant or less important. I like to zoom in on something relatively small and highlight it through composition and little depth of focus.
