This summer, the Hummingbird butterfly has been absent from our garden for a long time. Fortunately, in early September, these flowers are still in the process of developing and blooming, and finally there was the long-awaited guest to satisfy its hunger.
Each time, seeing a Hummingbird butterfly is a special event. Its flight behaviour is so special that the reference to the hummingbird is justified. The rapid movements combined with the almost complete stillness in the air are a beautiful sight and give you a brief moment to quietly observe the Hummingbird butterfly.
Even better is to get a quick photo and I am proud to say that it succeeded very nicely here. It shows well that the Hummingbird butterfly approaches the flower with its long tongue and can use deeper flowers as a source of food because of that length.
This photo was taken out of hand with the following exif data: focal length: 63 cm, ISO 1600, f/4.0, 1/1600 sec. In post-processing, I cropped the photo in Lightroom and used Topaz AI to sharpen and remove noise.
