It always starts with an empty table and a stack of magazines. With a basic colour in mind, I simply start collecting. After a while, I lay everything scattered on the table. And then something special begins; loosely collected images start to tell a story together.
There was an overwhelming amount of blue images on the day this collage was created. And it does show in this collage. The bright blue eye in the glasses captures your gaze with gentle compulsion. What is going on; a watch and pedal car in two pieces, different resting places, household items, flowers in white and yellow, a porcelain street in a frame and a heavenly butterfly.
This work is made in A5 format. All images are hand torn.
