Large and small chunks of ice lay on this beach next to one of Svalbard's many glaciers. Chunks of ice constantly break off from the glacier and these chunks of ice end up in the sea. In part, these ice chunks crumble further and melt; in part, they wash up on the beach like diamonds. In this case, the ice floes were not that big. In the background, the part of the bay in the Isfjord is visible as well as the mountains that surround it.
