A view of Madeira's beautiful interior as seen from Sao Vicente. To get to this viewpoint, I had to walk up a long steep staircase. At the end, you have a small church, overlooking the ocean. This is the view towards the interior, with its high mountains shrouded in mist.
In the foreground you can see the stone staircase with wooden railing, which gives a nice depth effect towards the green interior. behind it, you can see a beautiful green area with the villages of Sao Vicente and Vargem. In the background you can see high mountains, which dominate the interior of the island. At the time of this photo it was cloudy, which gives a lot of atmosphere to this image!!!
