The Jaguar E-Type (Jaguar XKE) is a British coupe sports car, manufactured by Jaguar Cars Ltd between 1961 and 1974. This E-Type has a V12, 5.3 liter, 340 horse power engine. Its combination of good looks, high performance and competitive pricing established the marque as an icon of 1960s motoring. More than 70,000 E-Types were sold. The E-Type was based on the successful D-Type, which won the Le Mans race three years in a row.
In March 2008, the Jaguar E-Type ranked first in a The Daily Telegraph online list of the world's "100 most beautiful cars" of all time.
In 2004, Sports Car International magazine placed the E-Type at number one on their list of Top Sports Cars of the 1960s.
