He is known from the children's song: "A count lives in The Hague and his son is called Jantje (little John)". The Hague artist Ivo Coljé made a statue of Jantje in 1976. It stands on the Lange Vijverberg alongside the Hofvijver. With his finger he points to the Binnenhof where the counts of The Hague used to live and where the parliament is now located. To help Jantje through the cold winter some caring locals provided him with some extra clothes, of course in the green and yellow of The Hague.
Photography is looking with different eyes. For over 10 years I have tried to capture my view of the world through the lens. My favorite subjects are landscapes, nature, macro photography, cities and architecture.
