Japan Koi Symphony

by Christian Ovís

‘Japandi Koi Symphony’ depicts three stylised fish arranged one above the other against a pale cream background. Their heads point to the right and their tails fan out to the left. Blue-green scales alternate with bright orange and red. Thin vertical lines, small bowl-like shapes and graceful arcs surround the fish. Scattered orange and light blue accents lend the right-hand half an extra sense of movement.

The composition combines recognisable fish shapes with an imaginative geometric pattern. The scales are clearly defined, whilst the fins appear lighter and translucent. The middle fish is predominantly dark blue-green; the top and bottom ones have striking warm-coloured heads. The repetition of three curved bodies creates a sense of rhythm. Delicate golden-brown lines connect the rounded and angular elements. The open background maintains space between the fish and allows the fine details to remain visible.

This decorative koi wall art is ideal for a contemporary living room, hall or study. Cream and blue-green combine with wood and calm neutral tones; orange and red provide warm colour accents. A plain wall complements the refined pattern. From a distance, the three fish stand out. Up close, the scales, delicate fin lines and graceful geometric elements become visible.
