The tube tree is not actually a tree. The Aloe Dichotoma is an overgrown succulent. Here is a photo of the famous Quiver Tree Forest near Keetmanshoop, a town between Lüderitz and the Namib Desert in Namibia. The tubular tree is otherwise found only in very dry regions in northeastern South Africa and in Botswana. The hollow branches were formerly used as quivers of arrows by local people.
