A dream come true for me; photographing a kingfisher with a fish in its beak.
This kingfisher (female) has a perch in her beak with the head at the end of the beak. When a kingfisher has a fish in its bill and the fish is turned away from the kingfisher, it means the kingfisher has young. The size of the fish shows that the young she is about to feed are already quite large and about to fledge.
Because of the pose she took, the blue stripe on her back is clearly visible, which I always find very beautiful.
