Everything here breathes classical antiquity: from the antique fountain statues to the classical architecture of the palace. The Bible story is subordinate to the grand panorama. Bathsheba is seated at the front left and, while bathing, is besieged by King David, the small figure on the right of the balcony. Even from that distance he is enchanted by Bathsheba's beauty.
