The coast, the sea, the beach, the dunes, all this is a special place for me. A place where there is always something to photograph.
My preference is for deserted landscapes, landscapes without people in the picture. So too with coastal landscapes.
By the sea, there is a feeling of freedom, peace and enjoyment: a zen feeling. A place where you can really unwind. And you don't unwind when the beach is packed with people. Unwinding is enhanced the moment you are alone with nature. In those moments, you open up all your senses. You enjoy the sounds of the surf, the smell of the sea, the sunlight on your face, your bare feet in the beach sand, the wind in your hair and the seagulls calling to each other above you.
As far as I am concerned, the best way to capture this feeling is with a deserted landscape.
This landscape is beautifully layered: teal water in the foreground, beige beach sand with a pattern formed by the seawater, the dunes with dark green and a blue cloudy sky.
Enjoy the feeling of free peace with this photo on your wall!
I see making art as a creative process.
The starting point of this process for me is always a photo or a painting of my own. Every work of art on this site is therefore based on a self-made photo or painting.
I find my sources of inspiration in everything around me...
