About the artwork

A misty environment always gives such a serene feeling, I can really walk for hours through forests and moors in the small world of mist. Everything is softer and calmer then it seems. The mist eliminates all unnecessary elements in the photo and in this case all focus goes to the young birch tree. The calm cool colours of the landscape were beautiful in the fog and completed the picture.

Fog and mist add a special atmosphere to photos by creating mystery and depth, making the images more interesting. The diffuseness of the light softens hard lines and creates a dreamy, picturesque quality often associated with romance and nostalgia. Fog helps isolate subjects by blurring distracting backgrounds, making the composition stronger. Colours become more subtle and sometimes vivid in foggy conditions, and the diffuse light enhances contrast in a soft, pleasing way. Fog often evokes feelings of serenity and calm and has a timeless quality, reminiscent of old paintings and prints. This gives photographs with fog and mist a unique, atmospheric and enchanting look that attracts and holds the viewer.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
