Walking along 'The High Line' a walking garden at height in New York. Designed by Piet Oudolf a Dutch landscape architect, the garden runs along a disused railway track through the Chelsea Manhattan neighbourhood. At some point, in between some buildings, I was stared at by this lady who was relaxing and taking her time.
I might as well have called her 'the iron lady', with a reference to Margaret Thatcher, albeit then I was in the wrong country.
The perspective gave colour and depth, worth a photo.
Real encounters with people all over the world have attracted me from childhood. Traveling uninhibitedly unknown countries and continents and making contact with their residents.
