Lunch atop a Skyscraper is a famous photograph taken on 20 September 1932, probably by the American photographer Charles Clyde Ebbets or possibly by Hamilton Wright Jr., William Leftwich or Thomas Kelley, who were also present as photographers that same day during the construction of the GE Building in New York (part of the Rockefeller Center). The photo was taken from the 69th floor in the last month of construction.
The photo shows eleven construction workers seemingly nonchalantly sitting on a support beam at great heights having lunch while their feet dangle down.
The photo was first published on 2 October 1932 of the same year in the New York Herald Tribune.
