Mandala patterns are fascinating!
The circular patterns are usually symmetrical in a mandala. This image also shows a symmetrical circular pattern.
The circles in this pattern also have a link to the meaning of the word mandala. This is because the term comes from Sanskrit and means "circle" or "magic circle".
This mandala pattern is indeed magical. It is enchanting and intriguing but at the same time hypnotic and soothing. It makes you feel zen.
To enhance the calming nature of this digitally-formed mandala pattern, I combined the pattern with a home-made photo of a utilitarian object. An object with a beautiful blue-green colour with light and dark effects. The light and dark make the pattern of circles appear translucent.
The blue-green colour might remind you of a tropical sea, beautifully turquoise in colour. A tropical sea that might remind you of a holiday. A holiday where you completely unwinded!
But maybe the turquoise colour brings back memories of a beautiful breathtaking mountain lake. A mountain lake that you discovered after a long mountain hike that rewarded you with a beautiful view of the blue-green water!
Whatever memory or association you give this mandala pattern, it will certainly look beautiful in your interior and is guaranteed to give you a nice zen feeling.
I see making art as a creative process.
The starting point of this process for me is always a photo or a painting of my own. Every work of art on this site is therefore based on a self-made photo or painting.
I find my sources of inspiration in everything around me...
