I took this photo in Dumbo, New York. For work I was allowed to go this way and in advance I had marked a number of locations to photograph including, of course, this classic : The Manhattan Bridge
It is a well-known location for photographers because here you have a view of 1 of the pillars of the well-known Manhattan Bridge. During the day, it is a coming and going of people who like to take a selfie here or other photographers who have chosen this spot for a photo shoot. I can understand why, only I don't come here to take a picture but to make it a nice spectacle without any "disturbing" elements in the picture. To do that, you have to get up early, which is of course no problem in New York given the time difference with the Netherlands. I ended up standing here at 5 o'clock in the morning, nice and quiet and able to focus on the surroundings. The light, the reflection on the street, the buildings and the bridge, together form 1 whole in this photo.
But just pressing the button doesn't finish the photo. That only happens at home in post-processing. At home, I process 99% of my photos because I have a large screen, a fast desktop and a Wacom drawing tablet at my disposal to quietly edit my photos with various software to create an atmosphere that suits this photo and is suitable for my shop at work on the wall.
